Re: Being Precise With Words

Sorry Doc, wish it were true.

The credit for those pictures goes to Willy. I am still looking for the book. Think I have a friend in the PRC who is mailing me one right now.

NE LAS listings

I have been going through the Northeast Liberation Area stamps I have and need to post a question. There are a number of what Scott calls "commemorative issues" in the above 1L122 Scott numbering system. Where are these in the PRC or JPS or Yang or Gibbons catalogues? Yes, some are there, but all ar...

Re: Being Precise With Words

Thank you, I am sure there are others that will be interested too. I'll have to check. I do have several already, but I do not remember any with much devoted to the "secret marks". I know China, like every country, has a problem with forgeries and counterfiets. Where there is money, there is unfortu...

Re: Being Precise With Words

Willy, Wow! Do you have an extra copy of that book, or a source where I can get one? I would be very interested. In Chinese or not, it would prove invaluable to me. And if anyone else has one the same goes, I would like a copy. Of course, please email me first with information. If not, could you pos...

But on a recent trip to China (Sept. 2009) I ran across two collectors who mentioned that there is printing going on at the provincial level for standard issues. By standard (I rea...

Re: Can you ID this for me?

Thank you Willy. That is it, and can not tell you how long I have been trying to track that one down.

My catalogues all run out about mid to early 80's. Guess it is time to update.

Thanks again.

Can you ID this for me?

The image below is a picture of a Cong, an ancient (pre history) Chinese jade object that has puzzled many for a long time. This appears to be from postal stationery of the PRC, but I have been unable to locate it in any catalogue. Anyone have a source? Thanks http://www.mckeeonline.com/images/cong_...
